Brian B. Morris serves as the Executive Director for the Downtown Action Team, a private, non-profit organization dedicated to the revitalization of Downtown Albuquerque as the best mid-sized Downtown in the USA. Brian joined the Downtown Action Team in December 2001.
Prior to joining the Downtown Action Team, Brian served as Communications Officer for the City of Albuquerque and as Press Secretary for Mayor Jim Baca. His duties included oversight of media and public relations for the entire City government as well as handling media for the Mayor. Brian served as a senior advisor to the Mayor and was Mayor Baca’s campaign manager in Baca’s 2001 re-election bid.
Prior to serving as Communications Officer, Brian also worked as Deputy Communications Officer and Assistant to the Mayor for Legislative Affairs. In addition to working daily with the national and local print and electronic media, Brian oversaw the Mayor’s involvement in the 2000 Census and was the Mayor’s liaison to the State Highway and Transportation Department on the Big-I reconstruction project, the biggest highway department project in the state’s history.
Brian has served on several boards, currently as President of the Board of Directors for New Mexico AIDS Services and as President of the Friends For the Public Library. He also sits on the board of the Albuquerque Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Albuquerque Art Business Association Board (ArtsCrawl), the New Mexico AIDS Services Development and Marketing Committee, Finance Committee and Governance Committee; the Albuquerque Convention & Visitors Bureau Conventions & Meetings Council and Nominating Committee and the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce Regional Economic Council. He was also appointed by Governor Bill Richardson as Commissioner for the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court Nominating Commission and served on the 2008 Committee for Rail and Urban Infrastructure Systems Expansion.
He previously served on the Advisory Panel for the New Mexico Arts & Crafts Fair and as Vice-Chair of the Teach and Learn Cable Educational Network Executive Board, the National Youth Sports Program Advisory Board, the Albuquerque International Sunport Noise Abatement Committee, the Mayor’s Quarter Cent Streets Task Force and the City of Albuquerque/State of New Mexico Public Art Project Planning Committee which was charged with overseeing cultural corridors project commemorating Route 66.
Prior to joining the Office of the Mayor in 1998, Brian served as campaign manager to several candidates, interned for the Legislative Council Service in Santa Fe and worked at the state’s largest newspaper, the Albuquerque Journal, for five years where he wrote stories and served as editor of the in-house newsletter. Brian attended the University of New Mexico where he majored in Political Science and was active in student government and served two terms as president of the College Democrats.
Prior to serving as Executive Director, Brian served as the Vice President of the Downtown Action Team, in which he oversaw DAT’s development, marketing and media efforts, including earned media, paid media, web site production and maintenance, Downtown promotional materials/projects and grant writing, corporate fundraising, membership sales and other fundraising activities. Some of these projects include management of the 4th Street Mall Vendor and Entertainment Program, the Downtown Growers’ Market & Festival, Go! Downtown Arts Festival and other promotional events.
As Executive Director of the organization, he oversees a $1 million annual budget, 85 square blocks of properties within the Business Improvement District, the Hospitality and Clean Program and the Downtown 2010 Sector Development Plan.
Brian works closely with an 18-member Board of Directors and leads the implementation of strategic action plans that include concise measurable goals and objectives in the Downtown area.
Brian is also responsible for the daily operations of the organization, including budgetary and financial management, administrative and staff activities and Business Improvement District administration management. He plans and directs financial activities, policies, procedures and internal controls, as well as manages the accounting department and Human Resources/Personnel Department.

Christopher Goblet serves as the Deputy Director for the Downtown Action Team, a private, non-profit organization dedicated to the revitalization of Downtown Albuquerque as the best mid-sized Downtown in the USA. Christopher joined the Downtown Action Team in October 2007.
Goblet will be responsible for fundraising, development, special events and assist in the growth of the Downtown Action Team, including adding a 501(c)3 arm to the organization, in addition to its already existing 501(c)6 status. Goblet will oversee the development of a coordinated fundraising strategy to better serve DATs constituents.
Goblet has served as the Event Manager for the DAT Go! Arts Festival for two years, which is always held the last weekend of September.
Goblet is fluent in German, speaks conversational French and is learning Spanish. He graduated from Hillsdale College in Michigan with a BA in Marketing and German. He also attended Regents College in London, Ludwig MaximillianҒs Universitat in Munich, Germany and Wurzburg Universitat in Wurzburg, Germany.
He has owned his own business for the past several years, CG Marketing, and helped run events like the Go! Arts Festival, Albuquerque & Santa Fe Wine Festival, the Beer and Nut Festival and has clients such as ESPN, Ski Santa Fe and Casa Rondena. In addition, he has worked for the Donna Karen Co in Munich, Germany; Phillip Morris in Columbus, Ohio; NM Health Policy Commission in Santa Fe, Schlagheck Design in Brooklyn, NY; and most recently the Idea Group of Santa Fe as Junior Strategist.
He has been active in the Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce and founded a young business professionals networking group in Santa Fe. He has volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and was on a fundraising committee for the College of Santa Fe.

Adrian Garcia, Operations Manager for the Downtown Action Team is the 2009 Goodwill Industries of New Mexico Edger Award winner in the category of Goodwill Partnering Employer of the year. The awards are named after Edgar Helms, founder of Goodwill Industries in 1906 in Boston, and recognize outstanding New Mexicans in the field of human services.
Adrian was also named the SMS Holdings Corporations 2010 Horizons award winner. SMS holdings recognizes each year those individuals who exemplify the company’s core values, provide extraordinary customer service and demonstrate a positive attitude. SMS Holdings Corporations is the parent company to Block By Block, Downtown Action Team’s Vendor for Clean and Hospitality.
Adrian has been with the Downtown Action Team since September, 2006 and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a Masters of Public Administration degree, both from the University of New Mexico.

Kamlesh Patel serves as a Project Manager for the Downtown Action Team, a private, non-profit organization dedicated to the revitalization of Downtown Albuquerque as the best mid-sized Downtown in the USA. Kamlesh joined the Downtown Action Team in 2004.
Kamlesh is a graduate of the University of New Mexico. His duties at the Downtown Action Team include increasing the quality of customer service, improving available tools and resources for staff and management and enhancing inter-office channels of communication and flow of information in order to better serve DAT BID rate-payers and members.
Kamlesh manages DATs extensive databases and assists the management team on a variety of special projects, including management of the 4th Street Mall. Kamlesh also serves as Office Manager for the organization.
